W5 Satellite Programming News
Most
TVRO Owners have heard of the planned move of the KU Band services from X 4 to C
Band on AMC-18, which is located at 105 degrees West Latitude.
This has been completed and these
services are now being broadcast on both Satellites and will continue in this
mode until June 1, 2008, after which X4 signals will go dark.
AMC-18 had been designated as W5 in
your 4DTV Interactive Programming Guide (IPG), and you will be required to set
this up in your Receiver.
If you have not done so, instruction
can be found on our web site (Click
Here)
All of the KU-Band services that are presently on satellite X4 are now available on
C-Band satellite named W5, which has the same channel mapping as X4. For example if you currently watch Sci-Fi on X4-642 you will find it on W5-642.
Customers who have previously
purchased KU Band or the CKU packages can View
theses services on both X4 and W5 until June 1st 2008.
Anyone that does not have KU Band
capabilities but wants to receive channels on W5 can purchase them under
existing package names and they will work on W5.
We are in the process of renaming
our packages appropriately and when this has been completed your present
services will be automatically converted to the new name upon their anniversary
date
