Setting up W5 on your Receiver
FAQs and steps to fix it.
Q1
–
W5 does not appear on my program satellite screen?
A – You will need to do a soft reboot to your 4DTV. Put your receiver on G1 channel 3. Unplug your unit for 20 seconds, plug it back in and let it sit, turned on, undisturbed for 20 mins. W5 should appear in your list after that.
Q2
–
W5 appears in my program satellite list but I am unable to enter the programming
screen from there, it will just revert back to the satellite list.
A
– Unfortunately, the only fix for this is a Master
Reset. A master reset
entails that you will have to reprogram your entire receiver.
A
master reset, in addition to resetting your limits, will require you to move the
dish from one end of the satellite arc to the other locating and saving
satellites in certain positions using active channels on those satellites.
Basically, it will be like you first took the receiver out of the box,
everything will have been cleared. Do you know how to find the satellites to
reprogram?
